You will be immersed in the magical atmosphere of a mediaeval oriental city, walking through the crooked and narrow streets of the ancient Medina and becoming acquainted with the numerous historical and architectural monuments that adorned the former capital of the Sultans' Kingdom of the Merinid and Alaouite dynasties.

The majority of these structures are exceptional examples of Moorish architecture. You'll see the Bu Inanya mosque, madrassas (Muslim universities), Nejarin plaza, and the fountain. You'll find yourself in the handicraft quarters, where leather and ceramic artisans use technology passed down from their grandfathers and great-grandfathers, whose secrets are carefully passed down from generation to generation. Then we'll go to the Jewish quarter, which is still there. It demonstrates the coexistence of the two groups, Muslims and Jews.

Day 5: Fes - Ifrance - Azrou - Midelt - Merzouga
After breakfast, we will depart for Ifrane, known as "the Switzerland of Morocco," via the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains.

Following lunch in Midelt, your journey continues down the breathtaking Ziz Valley, with stops for panoramic views along the route. We will travel via Berber villages to Erfoud, then to Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, Morocco's present governing royal family.

When you get at Merzouga at the end of the day, you'll be greeted with a drink of mint tea before riding your camel to view the sunset in the heart of Morocco's highest sand dunes and spending the night there.
