Kalabsha Temple and Nubian Museum Tour

This temple, built by Toutmosis II and Amenophis II, was originally located 40 miles south of Aswan and was relocated to a hill near the High Dam site on the Western Bank. The temple was restored during the Roman conquest and is now a popular tourist attraction. Afterward, you will visit the Nubian Museum, opened in 1997, which showcases thousands of antiquities that would have been lost due to the creation of Lake Nasser. The museum's name, meaning "gold" in reference to the area's famous gold mines, is derived from the ancient Egyptian word "Nbu."
