The organisation was very impressive, with everything almost put on a plate for you. The transfer to Imlil was on the dot at 8am and he even came directly to our Riad. The accomodation in Imlil itself was so nice with all staff members very welcoming and the food was great. Rachid explained everything about the trip before we leave with our guide Abdul. The trek itself is relatively challenging and the guide Abdul could go as fast or slow as you want. A mule takes up all your belongings that you would want at the refuge meaning we only had to carry our water, sun cream and some snacks so this was a great help, and the muleteer also made some very nice food. We would definitely recommend this service.
My name is Rachid berber man was born and grew up in Imlil valley at the high Atlas mountains of Morocco , I work year-round here in Imlil valley as a mountain guide In winter I take Travelers backcountry skiing and ice climbing and teaching the skills associated with these activities while in the summer time my work is an even mix of rock climbing, mountain biking, mountaineering, hiking backpacking... I think I always knew I wanted to be a guide, but didn’t know it was an option until my early 17 years I managed to speak 2 languages fluently: English, and French, in addition to Berber and Arabic, As long as I can remember, I felt strongly that I wanted to work in an environment that was both physically and intellectually stimulating. It’s a combination of perks and challenges that I can’t imagine encountering in any other job. I have been guide for the last 8years I had a big experience with a lot of people from different countries in the world. I love my clients, love the endeavors they take me on (seriously ... I'm on their trip, regardless of who's in the lead - that's an important part of the paradigm)
