Check out the testimonials from our previous customers; for years, we have been organising tours of the Atlas and Sahara as well as day trips and excursions all around Morocco.

What you’re going to do

If you want to get the most out of your trip to Morocco, one of the best things you can do is go on a Toubkal climb in the Atlas Mountains. This hike takes place over the course of two days. Fill out our contact form, write us an email, or message us on WhatsApp if you need answers to any of your questions, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can!

ITINERARY
Day 1: Marrakech - Tahnaut - Asni - Imlil - Toubkal Base Camp
We set off from Marrakech in the direction of the high Atlas Mountains, making our way through Tahaouet (where there is a market on Tuesdays), Valley Ghighaya, Moulay Brahim Gorges, Asni (where there is a market on Saturdays), and terraced fields of vegetables, fruit trees, walnuts, and cherries. You will begin your adventure through the fields and neighboring towns of Imlil along the Ait Mizane valley, Taouerite, Targa Imola, Tagadirte, and Armed 1900m after you have met the team guide and muleteer at Imlil, which is located at a height of 1740 meters.

After that, go on to the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch, which is located at 2500 meters above sea level, for lunch close to the river. After lunch, continue on to the Toubkal refuge, which is located at 3206 meters above sea level, along winding and zigzagging mule roads. Stay the night at the emergency shelter. (During your ascent of Toubkal, we may arrange either standard or deluxe accommodation.)

Day 2: Toubkal Refuge - Toubkal Summit - Refuge - Imlil - Marrakech
After getting an early start to see the dawn from the summit of Mount Toubkal, the next step will be to cross a river into the south circle above the refuge and then ascend through an avalanche of rocks and pebbles. After that, it's a short trek between large rocks, and the altitude makes it difficult to take steps in a few spots along the way, but eventually, you'll arrive at a plateau from where you can see the first rays of sunset on the nearby peaks that are higher than 4,000 meters.

After a brief ascent to the summit, where we will be rewarded with breathtaking vistas on all sides of the mountain, we will reach the highest point in all of North Africa after three hours of hiking, where we will be able to take in breathtaking sights in all directions (to the north the plain of Marrakech and the northern valleys, lake villages, to the south Anti Atlas & Sahara). The amount of time spent at the summit is going to be dependent on the weather, but thirty minutes ought to be plenty before retracing your steps back to the refuge, which is going to take two hours. Following lunch and some time to rest, you will begin your walk back to Marrakech by retracing our steps for the next three hours and thirty minutes as you make your way to Imlil on foot.
