ITINERARY
DAY 1: CASABLANCA - RABAT - FES
Casablanca
The first day of our five-day Sahara Desert excursion begins today in Casablanca.
Rabat
We will collect you up at your hotel and proceed to Rabat, where we will tour the Chellah Hassan II and the Kasbah of the Udayas, both of which originate from the 12th century. Following that, we go on a tour of the historical medina, exploring its mediaeval ramparts as well as its shops.
Meknes
Following that, we travel to Moulay Idriss, a religious town enclosed by walls. Our next destination is Meknes, another of Morocco's royal cities. We explore the Volubilis Roman remains, which are recognized for their magnificent mosaics, as well as the Bab Mansour imperial gate.
Fes
The day concludes with a walking tour of the imperial city of Fes, where you will see attractions such as the Royal Palace of Fes, the Jewish quarters, and the Medina, a maze of alleyways crammed with lively souks. Keep your overnight lodging in Fes.
DAY 2: FES MEDINA EXCURSION WITH LOCAL GUIDE
Fes
Today we will have a walking tour of Fes' Medina as well as a new area in the city. The Medina, the city's ancient quarter, is home to several fascinating tourist sites and museums. Fes has served as Morocco's capital city since almost 300 years. Furthermore, the Institution of Al Karaouine, the world's oldest university, is located in this region. In addition, we want to visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss.
Medina de Fes
The tanneries, the Royal Palace, and the Jewish enclave of Mellah, with its synagogue, are other important parts of town. We will visit a pottery workshop as part of our private tour of Fes, Morocco. You will have free time in the afternoon to explore the Medina of Fes on your own. We slept at a local motel for the night and dinner because it was handy for us.
DAY 3: FES - MERZOUGA VIA IFRANE AND MIDELT
Ifrane
We'll leave Fes today and travel to Ifrane, a major winter ski resort. We continue to walk through the cedar forest and view the monkeys as we travel deeper into the Middle Atlas Mountains and Berber towns.
Merzouga
We're going to eat lunch in Midelt, a town known for its minerals and apples. We eventually arrive in the desert at Merzouga. After speaking with the guide, you ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. We'll stop to admire the grandeur of the setting sun before heading to the desert camp, where we'll spend the night in a traditional Berber tent. Following the lunch, you will relax outside and gaze at the night sky while listening to Berber music.
DAY 4: MERZOUGA - TODGHA - DADES - MARRAKECH
Tinghir
Our tour will begin with a stop at Rissani, the initial capital of the Alaouite dynasty. Tinghir will guide us through the canyons.
Ouarzazate
Before continuing on our journey through Dades Valley, we will stop for lunch, and you will then have the option to have a walk around Todgha Gorge. We leave Skoura and travel to Ouarzazate to visit the Taourirt Kasbah.
Ait Benhaddou (Ait Benhaddou)
We visit the well-known kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, which is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It was the setting for several classic films, including "The Gladiator," "Babel," and "Lawrence of Arabia." Following that, we go across the High Atlas Mountains and through the Tizi n'Tichka Pass.
Marrakech
When we get in Marrakech in the afternoon, we will take you to your hotel and then drop you off.
DAY 5 : TOUR OF MARRAKECH - CASABLANCA
Marrakech
Today we will tour Marrakech. The Palais de Bahia will be your first stop, followed by the Koutoubia Mosque, a Marrakech symbol that serves as a tourist orientation point. We visit the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa plaza, where we may engage with snake charmers, merchants dressed in traditional attire, and henna artisans. We proceed to the nearby souk, which is a sort of market.
Casablanca
You will be taken to Casablanca at the end of your 5-day Sahara Desert excursion.
