A great chance to visit Wadi Rum's top sites and to climb to the top of the Burdah Rock Bridge, the natural rock arch which is the biggest and most impressive rock bridge found in our desert. Don't miss the traditional Bedouin cuisine in this experience!
What you’re going to do
Day 1: Arrival and Jeep Tour
After arriving at the Visitor Centre, the gateway to the Wadi Rum Protected Area and paying the entrance fees required (or displaying the Jordan Pass) you will continue onward for about 6km to the Wadi Rum Village until you reach the Wadi Rum Rest House at around 10:00 AM. We will enjoy a cup of warm welcome Bedouin tea before we begin our journey!
The first stop on this experience is Lawrence's Spring, a spring that used to be a source of fresh water for locals and their cattle. Moving onward, we will visit Khazali Canyon with historic inscriptions written and drawn on its stone walls by the passing civilzations, where you will see The Map inscriptions, the Sand Dunes, and the Anfeshiyeh inscriptions. Lawrence's House, renovated by Romans, Um Fruth Bridge, a natural steep arch with beautiful view, the red and white deserts (one hour hiking in the desert) and the Red Sand Dune (a specialty of our tours) will also be destinations we wil visit during this experience.
Following the jeep tour, we will make our way to the camp where we can enjoy a fantastic view of the setting sun moving behind the desert mountains. After the sunset, we will gather in our big tent where we have a buffet style meal of traditional Bedouin dishes. When we are ready for bed, we can head back to either our private tents or camp out beneath the starry night sky.
Day 2: Breakfast and Scrambling
After breakfast, we take the jeep to Burdah Bridge. Comfortable with heights, we will scramble up to the arch and make our way across and then go down via the same route. After that, we will have lunch and then go back to Wadi Rum Village.
