Barcelona: Montserrat and Artistic Tour

Head first towards the 1,236-meter-long mountain of Montserrat and enjoy the wonderful views of the multi-peaked rocky range that people popularly imagined a shape of human and animal in some of its peaks and created legends about their origins. After that, you will be able to visit the Royal Basilica and abbey of Montserrat, which holds the famous 12th-century Romanesque carving of Verge Moreneta (the Black Madonna) and the Benedict sanctuary of Montserrat which provides a mystical backdrop of the Virgin of Montserrat, the patron saint of Catalonia. Furthermore, you will be able to enter the audiovisual exhibition that showcases the history and creation of Montserrat Monastery, taste some authentic typical liquors made by the monks of the monastery, and see the Escolanía of Montserrat, one of the oldest boys’ choirs in Europe, and you may be lucky enough to attend one of their delightful performances. After the end of Montserrat tour, you will be given a quick break for lunch before starting the second part of this amazing trip.
