What you’re going to do

Detailed Itinerary:

8:00 AM: Pick up from your hotel/riad in Marrakech Your driver/guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech in a comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle. After a short introduction, you will start your journey towards the coastal town of Essaouira.

10:30 AM: Arrival at Essaouira After a scenic drive through the countryside, you will arrive at the charming town of Essaouira. You will be greeted by the sight of the blue and white houses, the old port, and the sound of the crashing waves.

11:00 AM: Guided Tour of the Historic Medina Your driver/guide will take you on a guided tour of the historic medina, showing you the different landmarks and explaining the history and significance of the area. You will learn about the diverse cultural influences that have shaped the town, including Portuguese, Berber, and Jewish.

12:30 PM: Visit to the Old Port and the Scala Fortress After the guided tour, you will visit the old port and the Scala fortress, which was built in the 18th century to protect the town from the sea. You will see the fishing boats, the traditional blue wooden boats, and the fish market.

1:30 PM: Free Time to Explore and Relax on the Beach After the exploration and the visit to the old port, you will have some free time to explore the town on your own. You can stroll along the sandy beach, relax in a café or restaurant, or shop for souvenirs in the many art galleries and shops.

2:30 PM: Seafood Lunch at a Local Restaurant You will have lunch at a local restaurant by the sea, where you will be served a delicious seafood meal, including fresh fish, shrimp, and calamari.

4:00 PM: Departure from Essaouira After lunch and some free time, you will depart from Essaouira and start your journey back to Marrakech.

6:30 PM: Arrival in Marrakech You will be dropped off at your accommodation in Marrakech, marking the end of your Private Essaouira Day Trip.
