Description

Starting with Um Qays Heritage and Archaeological site. Where we will learn about the Roman and Greek ruins and amphitheater, as well the mosaic remains and sculptures in the museum. The site is a witness to the different civilizations on our land.

Moving on to a view overlooking Tiberia Lake, showing the occupied Golan Heights and the borders of occupied Palestine, this division reflects the political discourse of the region. A bunk and an old tower remains nearby from the olden days,that while observine it you will be able to leave space to your imagination of what was.

Arriving at Al-Mukhaybeh village, our trip with the village locals as they host us begins. We will be welcomed by the head of the village for tea. We will then visit a cave by the Yarmouk River that sparks questions on the historical geography of the area .

A pick-up truck will move us to a trail along the Arayes (Brides)pond, a beautiful sight with great stories. We will learn about the history of its name and significance in relation to the agricultural projects, the villages famous hot springs and its current reality, while having lunch and discussing the exceptional handicrafts in the village and their significance across generations
