This package of 2 days is a tour in Cairo and Alexandria, leaving from Luxor. This will happen with a personal tour guide. You will visit Cairo's must-see places (including the Giza Pyramids) and Alexandria.
What you’re going to do
Day 1: Luxor/Cairo Tour
In the early morning, you will be picked up from your hotel by a representative and then transferred to Luxor International Airport to take your flight to Cairo, where you will be introduced to your tour guide. Next, you will be transferred to discover The Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. The trip will make you proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, which is a mythical creature with the head of a human and the body of a lion. The creature dates back to the time of Chephren. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren.
Next, you will have lunch at local restaurant in Cairo. Once done, you will move on to relish a trip to the Egyptian Museum, which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5,000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold, and jewelry, which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before they were discovered in the 1920's when his tomb was excavated. Move onto Coptic Cairo for a background exploration about the Christian and Jewish heritage through the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. We will continue driving to Islamic Cairo, where you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar.

Day 2: Alexandria Tour / Luxor
A representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, and then you will be transferred to enjoy an amazing day trip to Alexandria. First, we will visit Pompey’s Pillar. It was constructed in honor of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century. Originally from the temple of the Serapis, it was once a magnificent structure rivaling the Soma and the Caesarean. We will visit the Catacombs, which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Alexandria, and then we will proceed to see the Qaitbay Citadel, which was built on the site of the ancient pharaohs (lighthouse) of Alexandria and the Great Library of Alexandria. Finally, you will be driven back to Cairo airport to take your flight back to Luxor. Once in Cairo, you will be transferred to your hotel in Luxor.
