Adventure Toubkal and Berber Valleys Trek in 6 Days From Marrakech

From the summit, you'll get spectacular views of the Moroccan Atlas Mountains, green valleys, and Berber communities.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Marrakech - Imi -Oughlad - Imsker - Gliz
We will be picked up in Marrakech and transported 50 kilometers to Imi-oughlad, where we will meet our mules' bearers and cooks. After loading the mules, we will go to the valley of Imenane, ascending gradually over Tizi n Lbour before descending into the village of Imeskar for lunch. After lunch, we continue walking through the little valley in the shadow of innumerable giant walnut trees, an easy ascent with no technical problems into hamlet Tinghar, and then into Tidili night and the little village of Gliz.

Day 2: Gliz - Oukaimeden - Tizi N Addi - Tachdirth
A brief ascent through juniper forests to the Tizi-n-Oukaimden pass, with a breathtaking view of the river Ousrtik and distant peaks of the Toubkal Massif, followed by a crossing of the Okaimden 3700m pass. Shortly after Ski, the highest station in North Africa, lunch is served. And by the collar, Eddi joins the beautiful High Atlas Valley Tachddirt for a breathtaking view of the mountains and valley, followed by an easy descent to our community's overnight lodging Tachdirth.

Day 3: Tachdirth - Ikkis - Tizi N Aguersiwal - Aguersiwal - Matat
After breakfast, we continue our drive through the Assif Imnane valley, passing through various Berber communities before ascending to the Tizi n'ageursiwal (2000m) (2000m). Once we've traversed the col, we'll descend more twisting mule paths to Aguersiwal (lunch stop). From here, we'll go up Matat's valley, giving ourselves another hour to reach there.

Day 4: Matat - Tizi Oudite - Azib N Tamsoult 
Matat is the starting point for the six-hour trip out of the Matat Valley and into the Azzadene Valley. You will pass Tizi Oudite at 2,250m, Ait Aissa Village, Tizi oussm Village, and Azib n'Tansoult along the route. Spend the night in the 2300-meter-high Azib n Tamsoult mountain shelter. Take advantage of this 6-day trek through Berber villages.

Day 5: Azib N Tamsoult - Tizi Agelzim - Toubkal Refuge
The ascent from the Azzadene Valley over the Ighouliden waterfalls to the Toubkal Refuge through the 3,560-meter-high Aguelzim Mountain pass is rather difficult today. A lunch with a view of the Atlas Mountains will be given. Overnight in the Toubkal Refuge (Niltner Hut), where you will likely share a bunk room with other climbers who will ascend Toubkal the following day.

Day 6: Toubkal Refuge - Toubkal Summit - Toubkal Refuge - Imlil - Marrakech
Early start for the walk to Toubkal (4,167m), from whence you'll get excellent views of the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert if the clouds cooperate. The descent will be lengthy, through the refuge and returning to Imlil by the well-worn path. This is a difficult day of climbing, requiring 8 to 9 hours to ascend 900 meters and then descend about 2,500 meters to reach Imlil! At 5 p.m., you will be dropped off in Marrakech.
