90 km to the northeast of Doha and in the centre of the Arabian Gulf is one of the famous islands of Qatar, Halul Island. With its hills, valleys, and shorelines, Halul lets you discover a different side to it as you get to know it better.
Halul Island, where one of the main bases of the Qatar Navy is located, is not only a famous island but also a loading terminal for oil from the surrounding fields.
Seabirds and different species of marine life belong on this island making it a lively space for everyone! Mountain goats, transported to the island in 1963, have been increasing in numbers finding the hilly landscapes of this island their safe place. Halul is the perfect place for diving; it is free from any domestic waste and is at least 500 metres away from any industrial site. It is also where you can experience fishing.
