Child-rearing, the status of women and women's rights in Jordan, and cooking. They will share a meal together with their hosts over a discussion.
Participants will meet in front of host Um Tamer's home in Jabal Al Joufeh. Um Tamer is one of the most well-known women's rights activists in Jordan. She has advocated in particular for Jordanian women's right to pass citizenship to her children. Um Tamer and her family will welcome participants with Jordanian coffee or tea. They will get to know all of the family members, hear stories of young people in Jordan and their daily lives, then begin learning about Jordanian and Palestinian cuisine as they cook with Um Tamer. The experience will conclude with a shared meal together.
