Coffee is at the center of the some of the most important rituals in a Bedouin’s life. It is used to express hospitality and represents an important element in Bedouin heritage and culture. This experience sheds light on how it is made. It is also followed by storytelling.
What you’re going to do
- Visitors are greeted at the Disi Women's Cooperative upon arrival. Or they will convene at a location overlooking the mountains of Rum during sunset in the desert.
- A Bedouin lady will prepare a bonfire, roast the coffee beans, grind them, and add special flavors.
- As the coffee is being prepared, guests are taught to prepare it by themselves.
- After serving the coffee, a Bedouin woman will join the group to tell Bedouin stories that will strengthen the visitors’ connection with the place.

- The complete coffee making process will be presented using original tools.
- The storyteller has deep knowledge of local stories and is well trained.
