Luis
Luis and his wife Kathe are the founders and artisans of HANDMADE BARCELONA® an ethical brand of handmade traditional shoes from Cataluña. They have been many years making shoes in their family-owned factories in Spain. Together with Airbnb and for many years now they have been hosting this very successful workshop where they teach how to stitch traditional Catalan espadrilles. This unique experience has brought them many nominations in 2019 and 2020 as a must-do in Barcelona, highly recommended in Tripadvisor, New York Times, BuzzFeed, among others. Be aware of copies of this experience, make sure you are in a HANDMADE location! Success has brought them imitators! Ask about Luis and Kathe. These artisans are not only experts when it comes to espadrilles, but also fun and entertaining with their anecdotes and stories.
