Shooting Stars, Sightseeing, and Nature in Iran - Desert, City, and Oasis

Iran's Shooting Stars & Desert Adventure will take you through the diverse deserts in Iran. From the barren desert to the golden sand dunes, we stop at Mesr Desert, Khur & Biabanak and Garmeh Village to admire the beautiful sunset and watch shooting stars.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Tehran 
Upon your arrival, you will be met by our Iranian team waiting for you with your name on a board at the gate. You will then be transported to your hotel.

The first day will be spent visiting some of Tehran's spectacular sites including Golestan Palace and Iran National Museum with a local guide. Golestan Palace, a complex consisting of palaces, museums, and halls, is one of the oldest palace complexes in Tehran and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Iran National Museum consists of the Iran Bastan Museum (Ancient Iran) and the Museum of Islamic Archaeology and Art of Iran with treasures of great antiquity that date back 9000 years. The day will also include a visit to the Treasury of National Jewels, one of Iran's most famous museums that houses some of the most dazzling collections of gemstones and jewelry known to the world. In the evening, you will have some free time to explore the streets of old Tehran and wander between shops at a bazaar.

Day 2: Mesr
On the second day, you will continue towards Khor and Biabanak County to explore a gorgeous massive desert. The endless golden sand dunes along with the clear, starry, night skies create a picturesque landscape that makes the desert worth visiting. In the evening, we will drive towards Mesr village to stargaze and spend the night in a beautiful, local Mesr guesthouse.

Day 3: Mesr
After having your traditional morning buffet breakfast, there will be a chance to participate in sand sliding and camel riding. In the afternoon, visit the Salt Lake and watch the sunset while sitting around a fire with a hot tea in hand. Later, we come back to the local Mesr house where there is opportunity for travelers to experience the taste of traditional Iranian foods.

Day 4: Garmeh
We will set out on an excursion to Garmeh Village. Garmeh is an oasis located in the central desert of Iran overlooking extremely beautiful palm groves that surround a pond and clay ruins of old settlements. Travelers will visit the pomegranate bushes and palm tree gardens and have lunch.

Day 5: Tehran
Drive back to Tehran to be transported back to the airport for departure flight(s) from Tehran.
